Easter

Easter was such a wonderful day. We spent most of the morning reflecting on our Savior's sacrifice for us and the Resurrection. It was nice to have a nice relaxing morning to really try to teach the children the true meaning of Easter.

And Hyrum was goofing off...

while Madison and Daddy were busy coloring Easter pictures.

Here is Madison's lovely picture of Mary at the tomb.

After we colored pictures, and before nap time we let them find their Easter baskets. Hyrum loved all the goodies that he found!

Madison was in a really goofy mood after she found her Easter basket.

After church the kids had a little Easter Egg Hunt. They were VERY excited for this event.

Hyrum was super fast picking up all of the eggs that he found!

Madison was always making sure that all of her eggs were in her basket.

Hyrum went to town once he figured out there was candy inside the eggs!

Madison finished with the hunt and is one happy girl!

Easter Eve

We love preparing for Easter. My mom sent a "Bunny House" for the kids to build. They enjoyed every minute of it.

Madison in the zone.
Hyrum taking notes on how to build this thing.

Madison enjoying the best part- candy!

Later that day we decorated and dyed our eggs.

From the look on every one's faces, I would conclude that everybody had a great time!

Great Memories

Picnic time out in the backyard with Grandma...

Grandma's great hair styles.....

Making cookies with Grandma for Uncle Devon....

Naps with Papa...

and a beautiful tea party with Grandma!

We had made so many great memories while my parents visited that we won't ever forget. We are sad that they had to go back home. But we can't wait for more memories to be had come July!!!

Busch Gardens with Grandma and Papa

I know I am so late in posting, but I need to catch up. While my parents came in March we took a trip to Busch Gardens. We all had a blast!

Grandma and Madison playing the garden together. They both LOVE flowers!

Papa and Hyrum riding together on the Carousel.

Madison loved to climb the tree house with Papa.

Daddy and Hyrum riding together on the Dragons.

Hyrum was ecstatic about being able to ride the cars. He was in heaven!

Here we are with the flamingos. What a fun day we had!

Tampa Bay Aquarium

We did a lot of things while my parents were in town. One day we went to the Tampa Bay Aquarium. The kids loved it!
Madison sitting on a hatched turtle.

Hyrum admiring the sting rays...

Madison and Hyrum were so excited to find a little mermaid!

"Fishies!!"

Hyrum playing in the sand box at the aquarium.

Madison was funny not wanting to be disturbed while building her sand castles.

The aquarium had a really neat outdoor water/play place. Here Madison is trying to "get those boys" with the water guns!

Hyrum relaxing in a sea shell...

Madison had to have the girly one...

Davis Park with Grandma and Papa

While my parents were visiting in March we walked to Davis Park in Brandon, Fl. and had a fun time watching the kids play.

Hyrum LOVES the park and was hard to get a picture of!

Woopsies!

Posing for Grandma...

Cuteness!

Hyrum LOVES to play on the slide.... and he ALWAYS goes down backwards!

Madison is a monkey on the playground.

I enjoyed talking with my Dad while Grandma took pictures of the kids playing!

My Baby Is Growing Up

One day a couple of weeks ago Hyrum came waltzing out of his room during nap time. (I'll spare you the other details.) I couldn't even believe he could get out of his crib on his own! I wasn't quite ready for this transition to a big boy bed quite yet. But some good friends of ours gave us their toddler bed that they were not using anymore. (thank you!) So we got our hands on a bed earlier than we thought. Last Friday night when we first put him to bed I thought he would just goof off and monkey around like he always does. But to our surprise.... he went to bed like a charm! Hyrum loves his new big boy bed.

We're so proud of him!

Music Auditions

Madison LOVES to sing. She picks up songs very quickly. I can be playing the piano and she will jump right in and sing the song without me even telling her what song I am playing.

Hyrum has caught onto singing these days too. If Madison isn't singing, Hyrum usually is.One of their favorite songs to sing is Annie. After they were watching that movie the other day, Hyrum came into the room and was singing, "Tomorrow, Tomorrow!" I didn't realize what he was saying/singing at first. But then after he sang it over and over again I got it. What a smarty! These kids love singing together. Here are some video clips of them singing "Tomorrow" from the movie Annie. So fun!!

(You gotta love how cute Madison's facial expressions are when she sings... and Hyrum singing in the background!)

I love listening to my children sing. It makes me so happy!
