Is There A Doctor In The House?

While Madison and I were having fun Hyrum was being a cranky boy. This has become a regular occurrence in our house for the last week. Thursday Hyrum had a low-grade fever for a few days and since then has still been cranky as ever. He isn't showing any signs that he's sick at all. No ear pulling no NOTHIN'. But I have to tell you, its driving me crazy not having my normal child living in my house. He won't sleep very well either. Hyrum usually sleeps like a charm. But the last few days he screams when I put him down. Last night I put him down at 7 and with very hard work I finally got him to sleep in my arms at 9. (He normally falls asleep on his own.) I am hoping that maybe he's teething.? That's the only thing I could think of. He is 10 months old without a single tooth in that mouth of his. I hope whatever this is that is bothering Hyrum will pass soon. Is there a doctor in the house?

Hopefully he's just teething. When Tyson gets an ear infection this is how it goes: runny nose, fever of 99 or 100, not sleeping as well, no ear pulling until the ear drum is close to rupturing. He sometimes will only have a low fever with a little congestion; then his doctor's visit comes up and he's about to bust an ear drum. It's ridiculous! Go with your gut feeling; a mommy knows when her baby is really sick.

that doesn't sound fun! I hope it passes soon. I do have to say, that I love that picture of Hyrum, The shirt brings out the green in his eyes... so handsome.

I hear ya sista. Carter is coming out of grump mode and is sleeping well again...so I'm sure Hy won't be a grump for that much longer! It's amazing though how long a week lasts when they are like that! Good thing we have good natured babies most of the time though!

It sounds like to me he is teething. Have you tried feeling for swollen gums or teeth? Or it could be an ear infection. My Emily started about 10 months getting fussy for no reason, and never showed symptoms of ear infections...and we found out she had them...anyways after a few months of this we put tubes in her ears..and bam happy little girl! Good luck!
