Nature

Every morning we go for a walk around the neighborhood. Madison has gotten very independent and likes to walk all on her own. Hyrum and I think she is very amusing to watch. It takes us about 45 minutes to just walk around the block. At first I used to get very annoyed about how slow we were going. But Madison has taught me how to enjoy simple things in life. She gets so excited about flowers (which are actually weeds), sticks, rocks, and trees. I've always wanted my children to appreciate nature, but I haven't done so myself. I have taken walks with my children just to take walks. But I need to be like a child and simply enjoy the beauty of the earth. I need to enjoy the simple things of this life. I always wonder who the teachers really are in this family...
Hyrum enjoying his stroller ride!
Madi makes sure to hop to the mailbox and back every day.

Madi loves to pick the "flowers" from the sidewalk. I don't want to break it to her that they are actually weeds!
Madison loves to touch the tree branches. She feels like such a big girl!

It hasn't got too hot yet? We would usually avoid going outside from about 10am to 7pm so we wouldn't sweat to death...

She still hasn't gotten enough of the outdoors yet, has she? Isn't it so refreshing to see through our children's eyes the things we take for granted?

aren't walks with the kiddies just the best?

I love taking walks with the kids, and seeing what they can find. In fact growing up nature walks were one of my favorite things to do. One thing I miss about living away from Texas is being able to take a walk with no one, or no noise around. You're a great mom!

So sweet... it is the reward we earn when we try to parent to the best of our ability, we are taught by the sweet spirits we are supposed to be teaching... love Madi's outlook on everything!

Hi Coopers! This is the Andertons! I've been a "blurker" on your blog for a while and thought I'd say hi! Madison is so big! Bytheway, I stole your blog template and put it on ours because I thought it was so dang cute! Oh and I love your playlist on the side, those are my kind of tunes!

I really do love walks w/the kids. Sometimes I get impatient, but it's so much fun to see the world through their eyes. Everything is a miraculous discovery-from a tiny acorn to a big plane flying overhead. It's all fabulous to them!
